Originally introduced in the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the concept of human rights due diligence has been gaining traction in recent years as an increasing number of stakeholders have been calling for new binding regulation on the subject. This legal brief, prepared by IMVF aims to explain what human rights and environmental due diligence means, and to outline the current legislative developments in the field both at the national and at the European level.
